  “In the midst of my life’s crisis, I had the opportunity to enter the Central Coast Rescue Mission. It was there I gained my connection with God. The direction given to me through the Mission’s programs, daily devotions, and classes studying God’s Word, the emptiness inside disappeared. Recently, my youngest daughter and I were baptized together.  My overall relationship with my girls has improved.   I am able to be a better Dad! I have been healed from addictions, and am able to resume the work that I enjoy!  Because of the staff, volunteers and donors of the Mission, I am truly free.   “I lost my job months ago and couldn’t pay rent or feed my children.  I used to stand in the line at the Valley Food Bank to help make ends meet.  One day, a friend referred me to the Thrift Store and after interviewing with the manager, I was hired.  I am thankful to serve the customers; knowing that their purchases go to the needy in the community.  I’m happy working here!  Low-income families in my community can shop at our store and find quality items for less.  It’s wonderful!”  Nancy – Thrift Store Employee
