IRA charitable rollovers, also known as qualified charitable distributions (QCD), are direct transfers of funds from your IRA to a qualified charity. If you're age 70.5 or more, you can transfer up to $100,000 from your IRA each year. Although this gift doesn't qualify for a charitable deduction, it can be used to satisfy your IRA's required minimum distribution and reduce your taxable income.
